In the most recent episode of the animated Google Play series “California Inspires Me,” Brian Wilson, the singer/songwriter and former Beach Boy, talks about writing surf music even though he never really took to the sport, his first memory of listening to music with his father, and his absolute love of Los Angeles.

My lifestyle is like eating breakfast, going to the park or taking a walk, playing my piano, talking with my kids, my wife and it’s my day. A very simple lifestyle. Los Angeles is our home town. We relate to Los Angeles. It’s inspiring to live here.
