Confide, An App That Lets You Send Private Encrypted Messages That Self-Destruct After Being Read
Following in the current trend of online interactions that are secretive or disappear, Confide is an iOS app that lets users send private encrypted messages to an email or phone number that disappear once they’re read. A handy swipe-to-reveal function prevents those on the receiving end from taking effective screenshots, and the app notifies the user when a given message has been read.
Confide is currently available on Apple’s App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. According to their website, an Android version is forthcoming.
Spoken words disappear after they’re heard. But what you say online remains forever.
With confidential messages that self-destruct, Confide takes you off the record.
