Last week while I was touring the Etsy offices during my visit to NYC, I received a Twitter direct message from Agent M, an editor at Marvel.com. He asked me if I would be interested in private tour of the Marvel Comics headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Of course it didn’t take long to resond back with a reply of “Hell yes!”.

As you might imagine the photo policy at Marvel is super strict, but I was able to shoot a few photos of Agent M’s office which he shares with his Marvel.com co-workers.

Marvel Comics

Speaking of Marvel, they recently joined Twitter. You can follow them at @marvel. In fact Marvel has completely embraced social media, including blogs, embeded video, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace and Facebook.

One of the video campaigns that Agent M was telling me about is their clever “Embrace Change” promo for the new “Secret Invasion” series where the shape-shifting alien race of Skrulls have infiltrated every super-powered organization on Earth. The promo features viral video and even its own Twitter account.

Iron Man: Fast Friends

Last week Marvel launched the first in a series of exclusive comics only available through their Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited program.

The Incredible Hulk: The Fury Files

Agent M provided me with an exclusive preview of page 2 of their upcoming original Digital Comic “The Incredible Hulk: The Fury Files” a 2-part series that brings Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury character into the Incredible Hulk movie story, further tying the Marvel movie universe together. #1 goes live on October 8 and #2 on October 15.
