The Sada Bike, A Bicycle That Folds Down to the Size of a Backpack

Created by Italian designer Gianluca Sada, The Sada Bike is a bicycle that can fold down to the size of an umbrella, thanks to a hubless design that makes it far more compact than most folding bicycles on the market with similarly sized wheels.

The objective of this project is to have a cycle with standard dimensions ( wheels 26 “) and have a small package during transportation. The wheels have no spokes, the minimum size in closing, the system folder with the single movement, the packaging container can also be used as a backpack, are innovations of this script.

The spokeless wheels also serve as the structure for the backpack used to carrying the bike around.
