App.net Broadcast Sends Out Push Notifications for Important Updates
App.net has created Broadcast, a feature that sends out push notifications to readers from subscribed channels so they don’t miss important updates or articles. In the alert, publishers can include photos, GIFs, geographic information, blurbs, and links to read more. Users can subscribe to Broadcast Channels using the App.net app, which is currently available to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Here’s the Laughing Squid Broadcast Channel.
