WordPress Meetup at Google

Last Friday Anthony Cole organized a WordPress Meetup at the Google headquarters in Mountain View, hosted by Kevin Marks, who recently started working there. Barry Abrahamson and Ryan Boren were on hand representing Automattic and Ryan had some great new WordPress t-shirts that he handed out.

We picked up lunch at No Name Cafe over in Building 43 and then adjourned to the tables outside of Building 41. Normally we would just eat out in front of the main cafeteria, but Bill Clinton was on campus so that area was locked down by the Secret Service. When having lunch at Google I always joke that I’m eating at the best restaurant in Mountain View. Here are a few photos that I shot at the meetup.

While hanging out the main lobby at Building 43, I shot a photo of the new “Google Art” whiteboard which has replaced “Google’s Master Plan” that was rebooted last last year. You can make out some more of detail by viewing the large version.

UPDATE 1: Also, while hanging out in the main entrance of Building 43 Kevin and I met Aaron Geman, the guy who had his TinkerThink projects on display.

UPDATE 2: While at the Googleplex I also had a chance to shoot some photos of the new SpaceShipOne Replica and T-Rex Skeleton.
