Our friends at Varnish Fine Art are celebrating their 5th anniversary on Saturday, April 19th with the opening of a new group show featuring many of Varnish’s past artists.

Varnish Fine Art 5 Year Anniversary Show
April 14 through May 31, 2008
Opening Reception Saturday April 19, 7-10pm

Join us to celebrate 5 years of contemporary fine art at Varnish with the 5 Year Anniversary Show of recent works by a selection of 50 returning artists who have shown at the gallery since the Grand Opening Group Show April 19, 2003. From artist debuts to a literary hoax enacted and revealed and from half-ton bronze sculpture to miniature scenes, Varnish Fine Art has enjoyed presenting art from around the globe, as well as the whirlwind of our local San Francisco community and politics for the past 5 years. The artists whom owners/directors Kerri Stephens and Jennifer Rogers have had the pleasure to show, continue to impress while newer blood reveals itself.

Among the 50 participating artists, Varnish is proud to present recent works by Jennybird Alcantara, Chris Anthony, AttaBoy, Beth Bojarski, Chris Buzelli, Benjamin Carpenter, Vance Cearly, Elizabeth Dante, Albert Dicruttalo, Ron English, Kevin Evans, Jose Fernandez, Kate Garner, Ron Garrigues, Charles Glaubitz, Nemo Gould, Ben Harris, Archie Held, Al Honig, Carlos Huante, Grant Irish, Jordin Isip, Jung Han Kim, Craig LaRotonda, Sharon Leong, JP Long, Michael Maes, Chris Mars, Pierre Merkl III, Stephanie Morgan, Skot Olsen, Kevin Peterson, Rob Racine, Karl Reichley, Dan Romo, Reuben Rude, KRK Ryden, Isabel Samaras, Kristen Sard, Wayne Shaffer, Dylan Sisson, Winston Smith, Kerri Stephens, The Oyster Pirate Workshop, Thomas Wargin, and Robert Work.
