Here are a few photos from The Crunchies 2008, an awards ceremony that gives recognition to startups and technology in the web industry. The event, hosted by TechCrunch, GigaOm, VentureBeat and Silicon Alley Insider, took place at Herbst Theater in San Francisco, with an after party in the Rotunda of City Hall.

TechCrunch, VentureBeat and Sillicon Alley Insider have posted this year’s list of nominees, runners up and winners.

It was awesome sitting next to Scott as he shot some amazing photos. Great event, great party and much better than last year’s.

I always have to take a second look at the name for these awards. I automatically think Hippie when I hear the word Crunchy.

The pics are great though and thanks for summing up the event!
