San Francisco Zine Fest

The San Francisco Zine Fest takes place this weekend on September 9th and 10th at CELLspace in San Francisco. The line-up of exhibitors is quite impressive and it’s great to see so many people still creating zines, which have almost become a lost art in our current world of websites and blogs. Long live photocopiers and staplers!

It’s an annual two-day conference for independent and underground publishing. Exhibitors come from all over the West Coast, and while the focus is on zines, all walks of DIY life are represented — comics, arts and crafts, literary presses, and more. SF Zine Fest was founded in 2002 by Jenn of Starfiend Distro.
