Muxtape

Muxtape is a wonderful new service created by Justin Ouellette that makes it really easy to create mixtapes, including a unique link that you can give out to friends.

Right now I’m listening to a fine Muxtape by Mike Monteiro.

Do you have a Muxtape you would like to share? Leave a link in the comments.

Personally, I think this is great! I found it due partly to your LaughingSquid update on Twitter, and had to try it myself! I love new/social media and music, I blog about that combo, and so this is pretty cool, in my opinion.

HOWEVER, I am a little perplexed at the fact that it is SO minimalist that I can only make one mix tape. It could be more fun if there were more options I suppose, but maybe the purpose is purely the simplicity.

Here’s my tape:

And I’ll be posting something about muxtape on my blog as well, so comment back if you have time.

Thanks!

Only one mix? Only 12 songs? Meh.

A good start though.

I do a mix CD at the beginning of every year using only songs released in the previous year. This years has 20 tracks. I was going to up load it and create Muxtape but…there you go.

Isn’t this similar to Finetune.com except more limited? Just curious what people thought between the two.

I’ve heard a lot of chatter on Twitter about muxtape. I finally checked it. Simple, clean, and fun. I like.
