MuteTab is a Chrome extension created by Jared Sohn that allows users to manage sound coming from individual tabs. The extension shows which tabs are making sound, and users can pause or mute them individuall or automatically mute all background tabs. MuteTab is currently available to download from the Chrome Web Store.
