Calorie Label Lies, Lab-Testing Calorie Counts on NYC Foods

To test the calorie numbers listed on foods in New York City chain restaurants and convenience stores, filmmaker Casey Neistat took five items to a lab for analysis. The results: four out of five items had more calories than were listed and one item had double the number of calories. To find out more, see Neistat’s New York Times opinion documentary.
