‘Guinness World Records’ Reflects on 60 Years of Celebrating the World’s Tallest Man
Guinness World Records recently marked its 60th anniversary with a video reflecting on “The World’s Tallest Man”, arguably the establishment’s most iconic record. Kurdish farmer Sultan Kosen currently holds the record at 8’3″, well under Robert Wadlow‘s all-time record of 8’11″.
Mankind has always been interested in extremes. Robert Wadlow escaped the attention of surgeons–or surgeons were not confident enough to operate on him–and therefore he might well remain the tallest man for a very long time.
