Funky Television Theme Show Songs

Adam Lisagor points out that composer Jack Elliott is a master of television funk, writing the themes for both “Barney Miller” and “Night Court”.

However for me the undisputed TV theme song funk champion is “Sanford and Son”, by the legendary Quincy Jones. Talk about more cowbell!
