The phishing scams just keeps getting worse. Here’s an example of a truly evil one hosted at INJE University in Gimhae, South Korea (203.241.250.99).
The spam email links to a phishing site that tries to trick people into entering their Social Security number and credit card information in order to receive an IRS tax refund. It’s nice how they recommend closing your browser for security reasons after they have ripped you off.

The only people who would use this service would be the poor, who can’t afford to goto H&R Block, or the lazy. Rich people have accountants, and won’t fall for this. I wish these hackers and scam artists would figure out a way to scam the rich and leave us poor people alone. I mean, look at all the time they put into making this website look accurate. If they spent half that time running cons on people who had money to loose, they do a lot better.
The only good thing about this scam is that it involves a department of the federal government. That makes it a federal crime and means that it will be investigated by someone with more resources and power than the usual case.
I Received the following today. I believe it is another phishing email. Can you verify? thanks, Charlot
