Grumpiest Place on Earth?
It was announced today that Grumpy Cat will be going to the Disneyland Resort on November 5th, 2013 for a “Social Media All Stars” event. The appearance of the popular sour-faced kitty at the California theme park is part of Disney’s recent “Show Us Your Disney Side” campaign. Free tickets to this event were given away at Grumpy Cat’s Facebook page earlier today and were gone within two minutes.

In light of the news that the McDonald’s Dollar Menu is going away (as it is known now anyway), Andy Kryza of Thrillist created a single sandwich of all the menu’s items which includes a McChicken sandwich, a chocolate chip cookie and a yogurt parfait. He calls it a “McMonstrosity” and reports that it’s a “beautifully weird symphony of fake-tasting stuff.”

According to Rolling Stone, rock pioneer Lou Reed has died at the age of 71. They report that he received a liver transplant in May but the cause of his death has not yet been released. More details on the illustrious life of Long Island-born Reed, the former frontman for The Velvet Underground, can be found at Rolling Stone and Variety. Reed’s fans are sharing their thoughts on his death at his Facebook page.

On a special Halloween episode of IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang!, Pee-wee Herman (in a fantastic cowboy getup, no less) visits the show and shares his sugar-filled trail mix and other weird western-y treats with the show’s host Scott Aukerman. The full episode airs on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 10 PM ET.

The Pete Holmes Show is a brand new late night TV show hosted by Massachusetts-born comedian Pete Holmes that will feature sketches (check out his Ex-Men: Gambit video), interviews (with great guests such as Rory Scovel, Deepak Chopra, and Rob Corddry) and more. It airs right after Conan on weeknights and is set to premiere on October 28th, 2013 at midnight on TBS. Tickets to tapings of the show in Burbank, California are available now.
