Adoring Parents Dress Up as Characters From Where the Wild Things Are With Their 1-Year Old Son Max
Adoring parents Richard Blakeley and Lindsay Kaplan wanted to make their son Max’s first birthday and first Halloween very special, so they dressed up as Wild Things from Max’s favorite book and marched along the route of the Hocus Pocus Parade in Beacon, New York where all sorts of people said hello to the character Max, not knowing his real name. The amazing costumes were handcrafted by fiber artist Jessica Polzin who posted the progress on her Instagram page.
My son Max recently turned one, and his favorite book is Where the Wild Things Are, so we made him Max from the book and his parents are wild things! Strangers kept saying “Hello Max!” and he loved it because his name is actually Max in real life.
"Oh please don't go — we'll eat you up — we love you so!" And Max said, "No!" #halloweencostume pic.twitter.com/ocgxDSYkIj
