Fast Company recently posted a fascinating profile about Omni Consumer Products, a San Francisco Bay-area company that develops real versions of fictional products from movies. The company, which takes its name from the fictional megacorporation from the Robocop franchise, was founded in 2006 by Peter Hottelet. Since its launch, Omni Consumer Products has released roughly a product per year, including Fight Club Soap, George Takei-branded Eau My Cologne Spray, and a Tru Blood soft drink.
