TrackR, A Service That Uses GPS to Keep Track of Commonly Misplaced Items

TrackR, from Phone Halo, is a service for locating commonly misplaced items, like keys, that uses an app powered by proprietary StickR TrackR devices the size of coins for something they’re calling “Crowd GPS.” Essentially, other devices ping when they’ve discovered one of their ilk nearby. For example, if a set of keys with a StickR TrackR device is lost at a restaurant and another TrackR user travels nearby, the app will update the location of the lost keys so the owner can figure out where they are.

TrackR is currently offering $100,000 worth of free StickR TrackR devices via their website, and the app is available on iOS and Android platforms.
