Launched in 2009, The Shelter Pet Project is a public service campaign “focused on spreading the word that pets in shelters are wonderful and lovable, and encouraging potential adopters to consider the shelter as the first place to look when acquiring a ‘new best friend.'” Part of the latest phase of the project is a series of clever and sweet television ads that humorously show what lucky adopted shelter pets might be thinking of their new family members. The project is a collaboration of The Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund and The Ad Council. We last posted about this campaign in The Shelter Pet Project Presents Shelter Stories From Mutts.
