The Meanwhile Series, Comics About San Francisco Micro Communities

San Francisco artist Wendy MacNaughton has been documenting San Francisco micro communities through a series of wonderfully illustrated narrative comics entitled “Meanwhile.” MacNaughton has visited the Mission District’s dive bars, Market Street chess players, and most recently she spent a month observing and drawing at the San Francisco Public Library Main Branch (for which she won an Awesome Foundation award.)
