Cool Hunting recently made a short documentary film about Fred Garbutt and his International Banana Museum, which has the largest collection devoted to one fruit in the world. Garbutt houses over 18,000 banana related items and pictures in the museum, which is located in Mecca, California next to the Salton Sea. The museum is open Friday through Monday from 10 AM to 5 PM and warns that you should be “prepared to go BaNaNaS!!!!!!!”
