Skiplagged, A Travel Site That Games the Airfare Multi-Stop Flight System for Better Prices

Skiplagged is a site founded by New York-based entrepreneur Aktarer Zaman that promises travelers deeply discounted flight prices by gaming the traditional flight connection system. The “hidden city” tickets are booked as if the flier is heading to a third destination, but disembarks at the second, thus only paying the connection pricing. United Airlines and Orbitz among others have sued the site over what they’ve deemed abuse of the system. Skiplagged, in turn, has launched a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign to help address the suit.
