An SNL Digital Short About the Tradition of Actors Breaking Character and Laughing
“That’s When You Break” is an SNL Digital Short by Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg about the Saturday Night Live tradition of actors breaking character and laughing in the middle of a sketch. The video features many clips of classic breaks from the show’s history, and a special tribute to the show’s creator Lorne Michaels.
Sandler and Samberg pay special attention to pointing out a number of times Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz broke during sketches, but then point out that they themselves were also known for breaking frequently during their time on the show.
The short was introduced by Zach Galifianakis as part of the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special.
