RE/Mixed Media Festival 2012, Celebrating Remix Art & Culture

Now in its third year, the RE/Mixed Media Festival is an annual event that “celebrates remixing, mashups, copyright reform, and fair use.” This year’s event happens at Brooklyn Lyceum in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday November 10, 2012 and will feature “performances, panel discussions, live musical collaborations, hip-hop, sampling, film & video, DIY, food and drink, DJs, technology, interactive installations, painting, sculpture, software, hacking, and much more…” A fundraising campaign has recently been launched on Kickstarter to help defray the festival’s costs. Submissions are being considered now until August 31, 2012.
