Guinness World Record Holder Ray Cox Becomes First Person to Reach One Million Gamerscore on Xbox Live
Tennessee-based gamer Ray “Stallion83” Cox has reached the video gaming milestone of 1,000,000 Gamerscore on Xbox Live. Gamerscore is the sum of all points accrued through achievements — specific tasks and actions assigned point values — in video games on Microsoft’s platforms that support the same online service. For example, Gamerscore earned through the Games for Windows Live computer service is lumped in with all other Gamerscore. Cox is the first to reach 1,000,000 Gamerscore, and has held the record for highest Gamerscore for over six years. His records are included in multiple editions of the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition.
Cox achieved the feat while streaming his progression via the Twitch service, and ultimately hit the milestone with the achievement “I Like A Challenge”, earned by completing all challenges for a single weapon and worth 50 Gamerscore, from Titanfall on Xbox One. The record-breaking stream is archived and available on Cox’s Twitch channel. The actual achievement is unlocked at approximately the 03:46:16 timestamp.
