DJI Releases the Phantom 4 Drone With Obstacle Avoidance, Active Tracking and Improved Camera
DJI has released their new Phantom 4 quadcopter camera drone featuring obstacle avoidance, intelligent active subject tracking and improved camera features. The new version of the Phantom features better battery life for flight times up to 28 minutes, raised rotors to prevent the blades creeping into camera view at high speeds and tap-to-fly controls.
The DJI Phantom 4 is DJI’s smartest flying camera. Capable of avoiding obstacles, flying with a tap, and automatically tracking a subject. It is more than a camera, it is your creative sidekick. Flying has never been more fun, nor has professional aerial imagery been so easy.
DJI is now taking orders for the Phantom 4 and will begin shipping units on March 15, 2016.
Here’s a video of a live demo DJI did during their announcement showing off the new active tracking and obstacle avoidance features.
