Spanish-American War Memorial

The statue located at Dolores and Market Street in San Francisco was quite purposeful today in the post rain sunshine. It’s a memorial to the California Volunteers in Spanish-American War, created by Douglas Tilden in 1903.

It features Bellona, the Roman goddess of war riding a Pegasus.
