Albert Hofmann (1906-2008), The Father of LSD, Takes His Last Trip

Albert Hofmann has died at age 102. He was the Swiss chemist who first synthesized Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) at Sandoz Laboratories in Basel back in 1938. Five years later he accidentally dosed himself, which resulted in the first ever Acid Trip.
