Gothamist has put together a very amusing compilation of busy New Yorkers growing increasingly frustrated as they try to swipe their incredibly fickle MetroCard through the subway turnstile, only to be met with a tenacious metal bar that refuses to give.

Just as we’ve all juuuuust missed getting on the subway train, we’ve also all taken a swipe and been nailed in the crotch by the unrelenting turnstile bar. “Swipe card again at this turnstile,” the screen demands. “Insufficient fare,” it shames.
