A Hiker Filming a Scenic Vista in Chile Captures the Moment Chile’s Calbuco Volcano Erupts
On Wednesday, Chile’s Calbuco volcano erupted for the first time in 42 years, an event that was captured by an anonymous hiker in a remarkable video. The hiker was recording a video of a beautiful waterfall with the volcano in the background, when Calbuco suddenly erupted. The hiker can be heard exclaiming (en español) before he hurriedly shuts down his recording device. We previously posted about a magnificent time-lapse of the eruption.
