Behind the Scenes of the Ill-Fated ‘Game of Thrones Musical’ Featuring Coldplay and Cast Members of the Show

As part of the televised fundraiser for Red Nose Day USA on NBC, the band Coldplay put together an amusing “behind-the-scenes” video that shows how the band came up with the farcical idea of making the HBO show Game of Thrones into a musical, how they wrote the songs, and how they recruited cast members from the show to perform the songs, only to meet a quick demise when author George R.R. Martin put a kibosh on the whole thing. Despite the show’s ill-fated demise, several cast members including Peter Dinklage (“Tyrion Lannister“), Emilia Clarke (“Daenerys Targaryen“), Kit Harrington (“John Snow“), Iwan Rheon (“Ramsay Bolton“), and Alfie Allen (“Theon Greyjoy“) all perform their songs remarkably well.
