First Website Restored at Its Original URL

CERN

On the 20th anniversary of the World Wide Web entering public domain, a team from CERN has revived the very first website at its original URL. The revived site is actually a 1992 copy that was hosted on W3C, but CERN has promised to continue looking for the earliest possible version of the website. Next, the CERN team plans to preserve and share assets from the first web servers, turning the CERN site into a historical archive of the beginnings of the web.
