Last week as we traveled through Ohio, Lori and I made our traditional stop off at Young’s Jersey Dairy Farm, in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Hands down they have the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. Of course it helps that the milk for the ice cream comes fresh from the Jersey cows that they have right there on the farm.

While there us city folk got our annual dose of farm animals, including feeding some very enthusiastic goats. Here are a few photos from our stop at Young’s Dairy.

Mmmmm….. Cinnamon ice cream from Young’s is my favorite!!

Saw your tweet and had to come over to relive some memories.

Grew up in Indiana, but my brother lived near Dayton for awhile so we frequented Young’s whenever I made the trip.

Hope you stopped into the actual town of Yellow Springs…though Youngs, with Udders and Putters, is too camp not to comment upon.

When in high school many moons ago, a bunch of us would go to Young’s post-partying to feast on $0.10 day old donuts. Ah, those were the days.

On a spring visit to Young’s, my then 5 yr old son happened to turn to look at a pregnant goat at the exact moment she gave birth. Needless to say, we had an interesting conversation on the way home.

Poor kid. He never drank apple juice again.
