Our friend Eddie Codel was recently in Ljubljana, Slovenia for the HAIP festival (photos) and while there he took a trip over to the autonomous artists enclave of Metelkova, located on the site of former military barracks (part of the Slovenian headquarters of the Yugoslav National Army) which were squatted in September 1993. Eddie shot some great photos of the surreal and bizarre street art in the area.

Metelkova is definitely worth a visit for anyone passing through Ljubljana. The city's eastern bloc architecture is an interesting exploration itself, but the freaky art at Metelkova ads a whole new dimension.
