Perversion For Profit, A 1965 Anti-Porn Propaganda Film

by Scott Beale on June 28, 2008 · 9 comments

“Perversion For Profit” is a highly amusing 1965 anti-porn propaganda film financed by Charles Keating and narrated by George Putnam, which associates pornography with Communism and the overall decline of Western civilization.

The film is also available on the Internet Archive as part of the Prelinger Archives.

To be totally honest, I've never seen so much porn over the course of ten minutes in my entire life. This video exposes so many people who would never see this content to porn.

Thanks for brining porn to everyone who didn't know about it. I wouldn't be surprised if this spurred sales of porn.

It's amusing but, at the same time, disgusting. Sigh. Honestly, we haven't moved forward that far either. ie Fox News.

So you are saying that there are people on the internet who do not know about porn? I hope you were not one of them and my blog post corrupted you. Of course you didn't have to hit play on the video, but you did, didn't you. Just couldn't resist, eh?

I knew those Communists loved porn. Wait, I'm communist! And, I like porn. Damn. They got me.

There's another remix of George Putnam where he puts a far more positive spin on our moral decay, entitled “Come Join the Fun.”

That movie probably doubled the circulation of those magazines, with all the publicity.
Someone needs to do a voice over on that thing “…..and if you subscribe now, we’ll also throw in a FREE issue of Modern Nudist!”
