PBS Explores an Abandoned Philadelphia Railroad Tunnel That Could Become a Public Park

In “The Abandoned Railway Below Philadelphia,” the second episode of Unusual Spaces, PBS interviews Paul VanMeter, a landscape gardener who attempted to transform an empty railroad space into a garden inspired by the High Line in New York City. While VanMeter passed away shortly after the filming of the segment, a group is still working to convert the three-mile stretch into a public garden.
