Honest parking meters are hard to come by, so it’s nice to see one confessing their own failure. Don’t worry little guy, you’ll be back to extorting motorists soon enough.

Often times you can dispute a ticket if the VIN # was clearly visible but the citing parking office neglected to note at least the last four digits of your VIN. I recently disputed a ticket which said my VIN was NV (not visible, it WAS), that my car was 2 door and that it was grey. My vehicle is a four door green Volvo XC90 – pow – that ticket was DISMISSED – - the failure in my case had nothing to do with the meter but the lazy parking maid and his own failures.
