Nick Douglas Outs Scott Beale at SXSW 2007

by Scott Beale on March 16, 2007 · 6 comments

During the “How to Rawk SXSW” panel on the first day of SXSW Interactive 2007, Nick Douglas is asked what who first-time attendees should try to meet while at the conference. Nick replies by telling everyone that they should find Scott Beale and have me shoot a portrait of them, since Nick really likes how my photos come out. In fact he says that I will make people “look like a Greek god” and the they will want to use the photo in their online profiles. George Kelly was sitting next to me at the time and caught it all on video.

Nick also has write-up on Look Shiny.

that’s fabulous, because it’s so true, you make everyone look great…in fact I even use the shot you took of me as my profile shot on twitter. I’m glad Nick turned the spotlight on you, you deserve it. :)

It’s all about who you know. I’m glad to have met you while at MWSF and have my party mentioned on your site.

Wish I could be at SXSW maybe next year.

Ah ha! So it doesn’t really matter what lens you use! Apparently it is some kind of Greek God talent that you have. :-)
