NewTeeVee Screenings at the Pier

Last month NewTeeVee (a TV and video blog which is part of the GigaOm Network) and the video sharing service Metacafe joined forces to present the first in a series of summer Pier Screening events which take place out on beautiful pier on The Embarcadero in San Francisco. Here’s Liz Gannes’ recap of that first Pier Screening event. James Yu was there as well and shot bunch of great photos.

The next Pier Screening takes place on Tuesday, June 19th and this time the theme is “Parody”. They are currently looking for video submissions (under 5:00) and the top 6 videos will be projected at the screening. The top three winners will be featured on the Metacafe front page and have a chance to earn some money (Metacafe pays $5 for every 1,000 views). To submit a video, register on the Pier Screenings website and then join NewTeeVee Pier Screenings. Voting ends on June 17th.

The Pier Screening events are free to attend, just RSVP through Eventbrite.
