I convinced everyone at my new school that I’m a vampire with these by looking dark, mysterious, drinking red kool-aid and flashing my teeth at everyone who crosses me.

Woah!
This is actually really good! I’ve been searching online for awhile on how to actually make a good set of fangs, and then i stumbled across this!
The only thing i think could help people a little more in making their own fangs would be a written step-by-step guide on how to do this and what things you’ll need. That’d be great.
Never-the-less; Great video! They look amazing!

I went to the dentist today, and they made the mold of my teeth (taking the negative and making the positive both) for 11 bucks. that's without insurance coverage. Probably less gross and way cheaper than doing the mold yourself.

Umm, wow, you can just go and by a pair at HOTTOPIC for like 16 bucks, and they work probly even better…or online and you can get differnt sizes and colors and stuff…It would prolly be best just to buy them, they would look better, and it would be cheaper then all the time and money required to get the supplys to make your own…Sorry to be a ball buster, it sounds fun but..im just saying…

The written instructions don’t exist any longer, darn it! I volunteer at a haunted house and I know at least 3 people who want to do these and not use the cheap ones at the store-they look to fakey!

yesssssssss

these are awesome!!!

I tried making a mold with wax instead of the alginate stuff and it looked ok…until I tried to mold the acrillic stuff to the tooth….I ended up just shaping it to my real teeth. I’m ok. not poisoned. and I have sweet fangs! even if they aren’t super sharp and narrow. they’re more like lion’s teeth. lol….

I can’t do this. I don’t know where I can buy all of these stuff cause I’m from Croatia, which is in Europe, and we don’t even have a Halloween store. So I don’t know where I can buy this. It just seems so complicated and I didn’t understand half of the words in the video.
But thanks for your help.

I’m a Dental Assistant. You can skip the impression and use the Nail Acrylic on your actual tooth. It is basically the same stuff we used to make temporaries in the mouth back in the day. This is an old technique called “Block Carving”. It will not “poison” you. It just taste bad if you get it on your tongue. Mix the powder and liquid until it is doughy, not sticky. Roll into a little ball. Shape the ball around your tooth. Use your fingers to mold it around your gums and hold it as it begins to set. It will start to get very warm the closer it is to setting. Remove before it is set completely. Dip into a small container of water and put back on tooth. Do this “Quickly, Repeatedly” until it is cooled and set completely. You can use a cheap motorized nail file to shape. If you are really broke but have the time you can use a regular nail file just be prepared to put in work. If you have a problem getting them to stay on you can buy Dental temp cement from the Pharmacy section at any store, or if you dont wanna spend the $ use a little toothpaste or Vaseline.
Found this vid on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StfRSbVpIXA
It is the same technique but on teeth that have been prepared. Hope this helps. Happy Halloween!

So I just did what Hareema said and molded the acrylic stuff directly onto my teeth. It smells awful and do NOT touch it with your tongue cos it tastes pretty awful too…. but all in all, it worked pretty nicely. It’s pretty much impossible to get them shaped properly right from the get go, so you need something to file them down. I didn’t have a dremel or motorized nail file, so I just used to lovely emery board that came with the acrylic. It’s taken me quite some time, but I’ve ALMOST got them finished— just need to make them a little narrower, but they look great. They pop off pretty easily cos I didn’t get a really good seal on my tooth, but they stay on well enough.

I just made this according to Hareema’s instructions…only because my local hardware store didn’t have alganite (they looked at me like I was a moron) Anyhow, they turned out GREAT! The only thing I changed was that I found a nail polish (used for french tips) that was close to my normal tooth color, and painted over the fang. The acrylic was a little too yellow and I wanted it to look even more realistic!
