How Laughing Squid Stickers Are Made At Sticker Giant

Sticker Giant produced a fantastic video that shows the process of how they make our slikscreened 2-color vinyl Laughing Squid stickers. Sticker Giant’s quality, pricing and turn around time is top notch and I can’t recommend them enough.

Sticker Giant is currently running a special promo through February 1st. If you are ordering stickers for SXSW, just mention this video and get $10 off the price of your order.

I would have guessed that the black ink would be applied first.

Thanks Scott,
I’ve done screen printing on a small basis. But everything in sync with the machines is awesome.

The inks go down in order of opacity. The least opaque inks go down first. Often the black plate is called the “overprint” plate.

Great designers understand printing processes and design for the process. The Laughing Squid stickers are a great example of a simple design that looks great when silkscreen printed.

In my book the master of designing for the medium is Shepard Fairey, http://www.flickr.com/photos/laughingsquid/sets/72057594097291771/
