Defender of the Favicon

Mathieu ‘p01′ Henri has developed “Defender of the Favicon”, a tiny version of the classic arcade game Defender that can be played inside the website’s 16×16 pixel favicon (currently the game only supports Firefox and Opera).

The game was inspired by the favicon VU meters created by Scott Schiller.

On their website they mention that it only works with Firefox and Opera. I've updated the post.

DEFENDER of the favicon uses Canvas and the toDataURL() method, therefore it does not work in IE8- and Safari 3.1.2. Sorry, you'll have to give it a shot in Opera or Firefox.

Notice that if you find the favicon too small you can press ENTER to play in a MASSIVE 32×32 Canvas, and then use your browser's zoom feature.
