A Horn Player Summons Deer in a Japanese Park for Feeding Time

At Nara Park in Japan, some 1,200 sika deer — protected as natural treaures — are permitted to roam freely about the park. The deer enjoy a pampered lifestyle and are fed by visitors and park workers. When it’s feeding time, the workers summon the deer in a novel but effective way — they play a song on a horn.
