Willie Nelson Auditions For ‘The Hobbit 2’ To Star as Gandalf
“So, that’s it Peter, you can hire me and fire that Ian McKellen guy, he’s a good actor…but, hell, I’m Willie Nelson.”
Country music legend Willie Nelson is celebrating his 80th birthday and auditioning for director Peter Jackson to capture the role of Gandalf in The Hobbit 2 from Ian McKellan. Willie’s son, artist and musician Micah Nelson, joined his dad in the smoke-filled audition to humorously sing a little, “Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be Orcs…” Willie Nelson and Family recently released a new album titled “Let’s Face The Music And Dance” which is available to purchase on Amazon. Happy Birthday Willie! Good luck getting the part!
Look out Ian McKellen — country legend Willie Nelson has his heart set on playing Gandalf in the “The Hobbit 2” — and he’s smokin’ good, man.
