Star Charts of the Night Sky Transformed into ‘Hollywood Star Charts’ of Films & Movie Stars
In the “Hollywood Star Chart” print series by UK-based Dorothy Collective, star charts of the night sky over Los Angeles are transformed into charts of famous films and movie stars. In the charts, the films are represented by constellations, with the actors in each film represented by stars in the constellations. The chart is available in two versions—The Golden Age edition is based on the Los Angeles sky on October 6, 1927 (the release date of the pioneering sound film The Jazz Singer) and features films from 1927 to the 1960s. The Modern Day edition is based on the Los Angeles sky on June 16, 1960 (the release date of Hitchcock’s Psycho) and features films from 1960 to the present. Both versions are available in limited and open editions in the Dorothy Collective online store.
