Sony Comedy Film ‘The Interview’ Now Available to Stream or Buy Online After Previously Being Pulled
Controversial comedy film The Interview is now available to stream or buy online from a variety of digital retailers–such as Google Play and YouTube Movies–as well as online at a site powered by Kernel with payment processing through Stripe. The film will also release in select theaters on December 25, 2014.
The Interview stars James Franco and Seth Rogen as a journalist and producer recruited to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. This did not sit well with North Korea, which is thought to be behind the recent Sony Pictures Entertainment hack leading to the subsequent pulling of the film from theaters initially.
