Rescued Cat Coos Like a Pigeon When She Purrs

A funny little tortoiseshell cat named Pistachio Pudding coos adorably when she purrs, making her sound like a happy pigeon. Her human, Veronica, told GeoBeats Animals that she’d never heard Pistachio purr any other way and never knows when to expect the sound.

She was rescued from a boarding house. …I think she’s probably about 12 years old. …She’s been doing this since I’ve met her. I have never heard her purr another way. It’s always up to her when she decides to make that fun little noise, but it’s always such a joy to hear it every time.

Pistachio also enjoys blanket forts.

She demands that we do blanket forts for her. So, if we’re on the bed, for example, and I have my blanket by me, she’ll start pawing me and hitting me until I let her under the blanket for a blanket fort.
