Optical Helmets That Bizarrely Distort the Wearer’s Face

Since 1999 Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee has been creating bizarre optical helmets that optically distort the wearer’s face through the use of lenses. The often cartoonish effect of the helmets is documented in photos from the project. The helmets are part of Lee’s series of wearable sculptures, “The Objectuals.”
