Jack White Recorded and Released a Record Album in Under Four Hours on Record Store Day
Jack White, previously of The White Stripes, celebrated Record Store Day on April 19th by attempting to set the world record for the fastest Studio-to-Store Record. Released on his own Third Man Records label, White recorded, pressed, assembled and sold a seven-inch featuring his song “Lazaretto”. along with a b-side a cover of the Elvis Presley track “Power of My Love”, in three hours, 55 minutes and 21 seconds. The first copies of the record were sold to the rock band Whirlwind Heat. The A-side is the title track from White’s forthcoming LP Lazaretto.
